Parish Priest
0427 668 299
Fr Arul Dev Ambrose (Fr Dev) Fr Dev comes from Tamil Nadu in the southern part of India and belongs to the Society of Eugene de Mazenod (SDM). His journey as a priest has been shaped by a deep love for God, a passion for serving people, and a desire to build communities where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and at home. Before coming to Australia, Fr Dev served in a variety of pastoral and leadership roles within his religious congregation and parish communities, including Assistant Parish Priest, Parish Priest, Rector of a Philosophy Seminary Study House, Principal of a Matriculation School, and Consultor of the Society of Eugene de Mazenod. Through these experiences, he learned the importance of listening, accompanying people in their faith journey, and working together to build vibrant and caring communities. Fr Dev holds a Master of Arts in English, a Bachelor of Education, and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), together with studies in faith leadership and pastoral ministry. While he values education and learning, his greatest joy is being with people, sharing their hopes and struggles, celebrating life's milestones, and helping them encounter the love of Christ in everyday life. His ministry in the Archdiocese of Adelaide began in 2019 when he served as Assistant Priest at St Francis Xavier's Cathedral and Lockleys Parish. He later ministered in the Noarlunga and Seaford Parishes, including Kangaroo Island, before serving as Parish Priest in Penola and across the Naracoorte, Bordertown, and Keith communities SE. He subsequently served at St Francis Xavier's Cathedral before returning to the wonderful Catholic community of Lockleys as Parish Priest. Fr Dev feels blessed to be back at Lockleys, a community that holds a special place in his heart. He looks forward to walking alongside parishioners, families, children, and school communities as together they grow in faith, friendship, and service. He believes that the Church is a family where everyone has a place, and he is committed to helping create a community marked by welcome, compassion, prayer, and hope.

Petranel Ferrao
Pastoral Associate
Through my unique career path, I have been led to share my gifts in various roles at many different organisations. I have scientific, technical, research, teaching, commercial, administrative, management and leadership skills gained from positions held at well renowned research institutes and universities. Concurrently, I have also regularly served in voluntary ministry roles through Parishes, Church groups, Christian communities and in support of non-profit organisations. Last year, I completed the Damascus Leadership Program through the Heart of Life Centre for Spiritual & Pastoral Formation, qualifying as a Graduate Certificate in Divinity, from the University of Divinity. The program provided me with greater knowledge, skills and training for service, while also providing a greater awareness about my own life’s journey following God’s call, with a clearer vision of my unique purpose. Building upon my personal faith foundation, with a recent focus on ‘Ignatian Spirituality’ and finding God in all things, my current and forward-looking perspective involves utilising my contemplative spirituality and leadership skills for building opportunities and embracing new ways of being Christ’s church together in and for our world, through unity and service.
