Bible Lands Pilgrimage and Study Tour

The Bible Lands Pilgrimage and Study Tour and endorsed by the Archdiocese of Adelaide is now over 25 years old. It has captured the hearts and minds of hundreds of students and pilgrims seeking to encounter the lands associated with the Bible.

Every experience of the Pilgrimage and Tour has been different—and different to other though similar programs offered by several more popular tour companies.

Each tour encounters the land, the people, the culture and history of those places associated with the earliest members of the Jesus movement. It is accompanied with serious (yet, light hearted) in-depth commentary by professional guides familiar with our uniquely curated tour program, sensitive to our Christian-Catholic context and concerned to ensure participants’ safety and comfort.

Rev Dr Michael Trainor has been the program’s theological and biblical adviser and collaborator with the guides throughout this quarter century. Author of several books on the Bible and the New Testament and with personal knowledge of the lands of the Bible, friendship with the guides that accompany participants of the program, insights into the Bible and his time spent living in Israel, Jerusalem, Greece and Turkey, all this richness has proved to be an inestimable asset that adds to the uniqueness of Adelaide’s Pilgrimage and Study Tour.

Finally, the program is inclusive of people from all kinds of backgrounds—ministers and priests, chaplains, students, parishioners and anyone seeking to be enriched by this extraordinary and unique opportunity to journey to these surprising and wonderful places linked to the Bible and early Christianity. Former participants have come away with eyes opened and faith enriched.
